We congratulate our group leader, Erkan Aydin and his research team on their 2 year anniversary at LMU. In just a short time, they have transformed empty rooms into fully operational laboratories for PVK solar cell research. Alongside building state-of-the-art facilities, the PhD students have also produced high-quality scientific publications.

Our group leader Dr. Esma Ugur has been awarded funding through the Emmy Noether Programme of the German Research Foundation (DFG) – around 2.2 million euros for a period of six years.

With this funding, she establishes an independent research group at the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy at LMU Munich. Her project HOPE – "Deciphering Multiscale Heterogeneities in Perovskites for the Design of Durable and High-Performance Optoelectronics" – addresses the long-term stability of perovskite semiconductors for solar technology and optoelectronics.
